What is Roto Moulding Thermoform?

Roto Moulding thermoform is a manufacturing process used to produce hollow plastics. It is a process which involves adding plastic powder to a shell-like mould, which is then rotated and heated at the same time. The powder blends with the bubble free liquid layer that then takes the shape of the mould.
Used to produce a variety of products including bins and containers, waste dumpsters and carts, automotive parts, toys, sports equipment, medical devices etc
Advantages:
- Simple process with low costs (less expensive as a low pressure is used, meaning less expensive materials can be used to create the moulds).
- Can produce complex shapes at affordable prices.
- Consistent wall thickness making products sturdy and flexible (Rotational moulding produces a more even application of the plastic material).
- Higher quality and more durable products that can be produced compared to other manufacturing processes.
- No limit to the size of the products.
- Multiple products can be moulded at the same time.
- No chemicals or solvents used in the production process reducing the environmental impact.
